This study will be conducted at Lighthouse Guild and New York University School of Medicine.
Eligibility: We are recruiting English-speaking participants, 18 years or older, with vision between 20/100 and 20/800 due to macular disease.
Procedures: In this study, participants will be asked to:
- Participate in an interview session to understand their everyday walking capabilities and challenges;.
- Complete a questionnaire about their age, gender, weight, height, race, ethnicity, current level of physical activity, and concerns about falling; and
- Have motion data collected by placing reflective markers on participant’s clothing and having them walk along pathways.
Participants have the option of participating in all three (A, B, and C) components of the study or opt out of some components.
Duration: Participation in this study will involve one-and-a-half to two hours.
Compensation: Participants will receive a $50 Amazon gift card in appreciation of your time.
