Blind veterans use Meta AI glasses to run Army Ten-Miler – Axios Washington D.C.

Lighthouse Guild and Meta teamed up to support a group of blind and low-vision veterans participating in the 2026 Army Ten-Miler in Washington, D.C. Equipped with Meta AI glasses, the runners used innovative technology to gain greater awareness of their surroundings and enhance their race-day experience. The initiative highlights the power of accessible technology to promote independence and builds on Meta and Lighthouse Guild’s broader efforts to bring AI glasses to 130,000 blind and low-vision veterans nationwide.
