About the Session
An in-person, hands-on workshop exploring how dedicated OCR scanning devices, smart glasses, and smartphone apps can instantly turn printed text into spoken word.
Join us for an in-person workshop on devices that scan and read text word for word, including a demonstration of OrCam Read, LyriQ Text-to-speech, and other devices. This session will discuss devices that use optical character recognition, or OCR, to reliably convert printed text into digital and/or audible form. Learn how these devices compare to other popular options such as smart glasses and smartphone apps for reading.
