Hi, I’m Alex Herrera with the Lighthouse Guild Tech Pals program. Today, I’ll be telling you about Seeing AI and the Scene channel. Scene helps you describe your environment. Let’s do a demo!
How to Use the Scene Channel
First, look for the icon with the house and the tree. Then, you can press anywhere on the screen to take a photo. If you’re using VoiceOver, though, you need to swipe left until you hear “Take Picture,” then tap twice.

The app will give you a brief summary of what’s happening in the photo, but if you want more details, you can press the “More Information” button in the bottom right corner.

If you want more information, you can press the “Ask Seeing AI” button on the bottom right corner to dictate your question. Press the microphone icon on the bottom right-hand corner and say, “What color is the man’s shirt?” Then, press the “Send” button, which is a blue circle with a white up arrow.

Scene is a great channel to help you learn about new environments. Two main tips I would give for this channel are:
- You can use your own images from your own library.
- You can share the image or share the description as text.
