Hi, my name is Fabrizio from the Tech Pals program at Lighthouse Guild. I will be demonstrating how to use the Seeing AI app, specifically the Currency channel. Let’s do a demo.
How to Use the Currency Channel
The Currency channel allows me to identify my cash using the phone. Here, I have Seeing AI open, and I’m going to scroll through the bottom until I get to the Currency channel. The Currency channel looks like a dollar bill.
If you’re using VoiceOver, you would swipe up until you hear the phone say “Currency.”
I’m going to hold the phone up with the dollar bill and point the camera at the bill. When it sees the dollar bill in frame, it will announce what denomination the bill is. You can do this with any value of money.
And this is how you use Seeing AI to identify your cash. The Currency channel also allows you to recognize money from other countries, but it will not recognize coins.
