Inna Babaeva, OTR/L, Ph.D., has twenty years of experience working as an Occupational Therapist. Inna has been a member of the Low Vision Rehabilitation team since she joined Lighthouse Guild in 2013 as a Senior Occupational Therapist, and for the past nine years she’s dedicated her practice to rehabilitation of patients with a variety of low vision disorders. She assisted in the workshop, “Incorporating Low Vision Assessment, Strategies, and Devices into Practice” at the American Occupational Therapy Association’s (AOTA) Annual Conference in Baltimore, MD in 2014, and she was a presenter for the “Monocular Vision” workshop at the AOTA Conference in Salt Lake City, UT, 2018. Inna contributed a section on Occupational Therapy Interventions for the Lighthouse Guild’s Continuing Education Course, “TBI and Visual Dysfunction” in 2020. She was a contributing member of the team for the study of the effects of feedback on eye movement for people with retinal disease. She is a contributing author of the chapter on Low Vision for the book, Quintessential Occupational Therapy, published by Slack Incorporated in 2023. Inna holds the Bachelor of Science degree from Barry University, Miami, FL, the Master of Arts degree from Rutgers University, New Brunswick, NJ, and a Ph.D. in Biomechanics from State Institute in Moscow.
