Longtime Palm Beachresident and active philanthropist Tom Quick was feelin’ the love at the Lighthouse Guild’s annual Palm Beach dinner.
The much-adored Quick was the honoree at the Visionary Evening, which took place Feb. 21 at Club Colette.
Quick is a longtime and dedicated supporter of the Lighthouse Guild, the leading organization dedicated to addressing and preventing vision loss.
Grace Meigher, Mary Quick Pedersen and Patricia Quick were chairwomen for the evening, which began in the courtyard with cocktails and hors d’oeuvres under the Snow Moon.
After drinks, guests moved into the dining room for dinner and remarks from James Dubin, chairman of the Lighthouse Guild board of directors, and Dr. Alan Morse, president, who spoke of the guild’s efforts to broaden its reach both nationally and internationally.
The evening continued with the recognition of Quick and the Quick family for their generous and steadfast support; a live auction conducted by Geraldine Nager of Sotheby’s; dessert; and dancing.
Arlene Dahl was honorary chairwoman.
More than 150 people attended.
Proceeds from the evening assist the Lighthouse Guild in its mission to address and prevent vision loss by coordinating care for eye health, vision rehabilitation, behavioral health and related services.
