1010Wins: All news, all the time. This is 1010 wins at 92 .3 FM, New York. Well, the second annual Blind Baseball Clinic and fundraiser taking place today at Central Park. It’s presented by the Lighthouse Guild and U .S. Blind Baseball Association. The clinic focuses on Blind Baseball’s four fundamentals, hitting, running, fielding, and throwing. Here’s the shortstop on the Lighthouse Guild’s blind baseball team, Jeremy Morak.

Jeremy Morak: You know, a lot of times people think, oh, if you’re blind or visually impaired, you have to sit on the sidelines and just be told what’s going on. That’s not true.

1010Wins: The Lighthouse Guild provide services to inspire those who are visually impaired to reach their goal. That includes coordinated eye health care, vision rehab, and behavioral health services. The players who will be representing the USA team in the 2024 World Baseball Softball Confederation will also be unveiled today.
