Groundbreaking at Tech Center – Will Be Largest in US

Lighthouse Guild has started construction on a Technology Center that will be the largest, premier assistive technology resource in the United States. Designed for people who are visually impaired and for all people who are using technology to help them, it will be a one-stop facility staffed by vision professionals where individuals can get eye examinations, receive assessments about potentially useful technology, receive training and purchase devices.

Among those on hand to mark the groundbreaking were, left to right, Lighthouse Guild President and CEO Calvin Roberts, Board Chairman James Dubin, Manhattan Borough Pres. Gale Brewer, Lighthouse Guild COO Paul Misiti, Chief Program and Services Officer Maura Sweeney, and Chief Development Officer Brian Dever.
