This week our community gathered to give back and recognize the hard work of various visionaries, philanthropic leaders and organizations making a positive impact on healthcare in Palm Beach County and beyond.

On Thursday evening, 200 guests gathered at Club Colette to support Lighthouse Guild, which hosted its most successful event in Palm Beach to date. The soiree, dubbed “A Visionary Evening,” honored mother-daughter duo Frannie and Jennie Scaife for their exemplary philanthropic contributions to our community. The Scaifs generously gifted the organization $250,000 at the event, which will help Lighthouse to continue to provide a full spectrum of integrated vision and healthcare services to the blind or visually impaired.

Guests enjoyed an elegant evening, complete with a surprise visit from “Charlie,” the puppy with a purpose on NBC’s Today show. Charlie helped to raise awareness of Lighthouse’s mission and guide dog program.
