During this discussion, we will explore the critical role that social connection plays in the lives of individuals who are blind or visually impaired. Social bonds are essential for emotional well-being, personal growth, and resilience. However, maintaining these connections can be challenging due to physical, social, and technological barriers. This session will highlight the significance of fostering relationships, and how such connections can enhance mental health, independence, and overall quality of life.
