An in-person, hands-on workshop exploring the VictorReader Stream — a specialized handheld media player designed for blind and low vision users.

Join us at the Lighthouse Guild Smart Home for a Tech In-Session workshop featuring special guest Victor Andrews, who will demonstrate the features of the VictorReader Stream and lead a discussion on how to get the most out of it as a blind or low vision user. Learn how to use this technology to save and access audiobooks, news articles, Bookshare, podcasts, Audible, and more — as well as how to record notes and review your own text files. From diving into a new novel to curating your music playlists, come explore what this technology has to offer.

About the Speaker 

Victor Andrews – Legally Blind Advocate & Broadcast Professional
Victor holds an Associate’s Degree in Radio and Broadcasting Technology from Kingsborough Community College. He has been a consistent and effective voice for accessibility in New York City, advocating for inclusive communication tools in subway stations and developing a training class for poll workers with visual disabilities. His work reflects his dedication to expanding awareness of and access to assistive technology.
