About the Session
An in-person, hands-on workshop exploring how your smartphone can help you identify objects, read text, recognize colors, and better understand the world around you using accessible AI-powered tools.
Join us for a hands-on workshop demonstrating how smartphone apps such as BeMyEyes, Seeing AI, OOrion and others can describe your surroundings using the latest artificial intelligence technology. We’ll be covering apps specifically made for blind and low vision users that can process text, distinguish colors, and identify household items. The apps we’ll discuss are free to use and compatible with screen readers. Seeing AI and BeMyEyes are available for both iOS and Android, while OOrion is iOS only.
Topics Will Include
