An in-person, hands-on workshop exploring accessibility features across Apple Watch and leading Android smartwatches for blind and low vision users. Join us in person for a hands-on, interactive Tech In-Session workshop focused on accessible smart watches, with an emphasis on built-in features designed to support blind and low vision individuals. Together, we’ll explore both Apple Watch and leading Android smartwatch platforms—what’s genuinely useful, how these features support greater access and independence, and whether a smart watch is the right addition to your accessible technology lineup. The session will include live demonstrations, an honest look at the pros and cons of each platform, and time for questions and shared discussion. This workshop is ideal for anyone considering their first wearable or looking to expand their accessible technology toolkit, as well as anyone curious about how smartwatch technology can be applied in practical, meaningful ways.
