This is not a class but an open discussion designed to share experiences, insights, and practical tips for getting the most out of these powerful accessibility tools. Whether you’re a seasoned screen reader user or considering making the switch, our workshop offers a supportive environment to explore the benefits and challenges of screen readers with others who understand the journey. 

We will discuss when it might be the right time to start using a screen reader, strategies for learning them effectively, and how to overcome initial hurdles. Participants will share their favorite tips, tricks, and creative ways to maximize confidence in using these tools. About the Moderators

Bryan Wolynski, OD, FAAO, is an Optometrist and the Chief Technology Officer at Lighthouse Guild. He oversees the organization’s technology resources and initiatives and develops strategies to bring the latest technological advancements to people who are blind or visually impaired. 

Shanell Matos is a technology assistant for the Lighthouse Guild Technology Center, leveraging her expertise, education, and passion for assistive technology from her first-hand experience with vision loss. Her exceptional skills with technology and ambition have assisted with her goals.
