Join us for a discussion on integrating vision strategies into home-based routines for students with low vision and Cortical Visual Impairment (CVI). Lauren will emphasize the importance of collaboration between families and school professionals.
About the Speaker
Lauren Schneider, MSEd, is a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) with a Perkins CVI Range Endorsement. With 10 years of experience, she provides vision services at Pathways Children’s School and Manhattan Star Academy. Lauren has expertise in teaching students with visual impairments, including those with Cortical Visual Impairment, low vision, and blindness, ranging in age from 3-21. She works collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and parents to design individualized education plans and has established partnerships with vision organizations to ensure students have access to necessary resources and accommodations.
