Speakers: Nancy Doyle, MS, TVI and Richard Thai

Join us as we discuss music and how it can enrich your child’s life as a visually impaired youth. Richard Thai from The Filomen D’Agostino Greenberg Music School will discuss their comprehensive music program, which is designed especially with the needs of children with visual impairments in mind. Richard will provide information about both remote and in-person classes.

About the Speakers

Nancy Doyle is a NY State Certified Teacher of the Visually Impaired who has been working with blind and visually impaired children at the Lighthouse Guild for over 15 years. She currently provides vision services for the Lighthouse Guild at the Adapt Community Network Manhattan Preschool Program.

Richard Thai is a Program Manager with a Master of Music degree in Jazz Performance from the Aaron Copland School of Music, Queens College (CUNY), and a BM degree in Jazz Performance from the New Zealand School of Music, Victoria University of Wellington. A professional jazz saxophonist and educator, he came to The Filomen D’Agostino Greenberg as a music intern and then as a technology fellow.  He joined the team’s ranks as a Program Assistant and is now the Program Manager. He assists in the coordination of the Comprehensive Music Program for Young People (CMPYP) and the scheduling of classes and lessons.
