Join us as we offer information about in-person and online programs offered for children with visual impairments and blindness. We will provide details about how to register and when and where programs will take place.
About the Speakers Nancy Doyle is a NY State Certified Teacher of the Visually Impaired who has been working with blind and visually impaired children at the Lighthouse Guild for over 15 years. She currently provides vision services for the Lighthouse Guild at the Adapt Community Network Manhattan Preschool Program.
Jaydan Mitchell is the Manager of Youth Services at Lighthouse Guild. An experienced program leader and vocational rehabilitation professional, Jaydan has served in the disability services industry for nearly two decades. At Lighthouse Guild, Jaydan oversees a dynamic blend of enrichment and skill-building programs for young people, from elementary school children up to early career professionals. Among Jaydan’s programs include the highly regarded Saturday Youth Transition Program (ages 14-21), Youth Skills Program (ages 6-13), and Summer Pathways to Work Program (teens and young adults). Jaydan also runs Lighthouse Guild’s national Tele-Support Group for young adults and the newly minted Insightful Saturday’s program, a virtual offering for youngsters with limited access to in-person support. Jaydan has previously served as an employment specialist, supporting individuals with vision loss through the journey of training for and eventually placing into gainful employment. Jaydan is credentialed in professional coaching through the International Coaching Federation and the Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching.
