There are many options for taking notes and accessing your digital and audio media content. Digital content such as books, newspapers, and audio podcasts keep us all up-to-date and informed. Join this in-person group to learn more about the Victor Reader Stream 3, a versatile device designed for people who are blind or visually impaired to take notes, access books, podcasts and other digital content. Through real life scenarios, participants will learn how the device can keep you organized, informed and entertained on the go. Additionally, other alternatives, such as smartphone apps, will be explored. We will also discuss and share challenges and best tips for accessing content with vision loss. Tech In-Session provides the opportunity to engage in conversation, share your experiences, and learn from others.     

  • Learn the capabilities and how to navigate the Victor Reader Stream 3 device. 
  • Review alternative methods for notetaking and accessing digital media and podcasts.  
  • Tips on making listening to digital content a better accessible experience, and integrating these tools into everyday routines. 

About the Moderators

Bryan Wolynski, OD, FAAO, is an Optometrist and the Chief Technology Officer at Lighthouse Guild. He oversees the organization’s technology resources and initiatives and develops strategies to bring the latest technological advancements to people who are blind or visually impaired. 

Shanell Matos is a assistive tech consultant who leverages her expertise, education, and passion for technology from her first-hand experience with vision loss to assist others. Her exceptional skills with technology and ambition have assisted with her goals and access to the things she enjoys.
