Discover how Lighthouse Guild is leveraging tele-support to break down barriers and build community. This presentation will highlight our innovative programs designed to provide support, reduce isolation, and promote well-being through meaningful social connections.

About the Speaker:
Maggie Walters, MPH, CHES, is the Director of Outreach & Support Programs at Lighthouse Guild. She brings a public health perspective to her work, leading initiatives that promote education, community engagement, and access to resources for individuals with vision loss. Maggie oversees a variety of programs, including a National Tele-Support Program that offers virtual support groups and educational sessions on topics such as health, wellness, and daily living with vision impairment. Focused on practical, inclusive solutions, she collaborates with partners across the New York Metropolitan area to expand awareness and support for people with vision loss. Maggie holds a Master’s in Public Health from Montclair State University and is a Certified Health Education Specialist.
