An Evening of Vision and Art

Tuesday, June 17, 2025

On Tuesday June 17th, Findlay Galleries, hosted a cocktail reception at their east 57th Street gallery to support Lighthouse Guild and to welcome newly appointed President and CEO Thomas Panek.

Fred Clark, Findlay Galleries Director and Vice President, welcomed the guests who enjoyed a private viewing of luminous landscape painter Mary Sipp Green’s most recent work as well as a special exhibition of works by visually impaired teenage students of Lighthouse Guild’s Saturday Youth Program.  And several of the featured self-portraits by Lighthouse Guild youth were done in collaboration with the Metropolitan Museum.

Gallery owners, James Borynack and Adolfo Zaralegui, Lighthouse Guild’s Ambassadors at large and generous supporters helped make the memorable evening possible.

Fred then welcomed, Marc Rosen who thanked him and then remarked upon the exhibition of Lighthouse Guild’s youth participants.  Marc went on to introduce the Lighthouse Guild’s new President and CEO Thomas Panek, the first blind President in Lighthouse Guild’s history.

Thomas shared his vision for the organization and brought to life the opportunity to support young artists like those featured at the gallery. He recalled Lighthouse’s history as well as his own personal connection to art, while encouraging the guests to join him as he builds toward a bright future.

Fred Clark thanked everyone and asked the guests to enjoy the evening.
