About the Speaker

Kiana Glanton is a graduate of Stony Brook University She is the Development and Special Projects Manager at Lighthouse Guild and also serves as the lead advocate and ambassador for Adaptive Athletics. Kiana is the current Secretary for the U.S. Blind Baseball Association and Co-Captain of Blind Baseball’s 2024 Team USA. Kiana holds the distinction of being the only Black woman to earn a medal for the U.S.A. in any world championship for Blind Baseball (Bronze medal 2022 Beek, Netherlands). She is an active member of the National Federation of the Blind as well as being a co-founder of The ResQue Experience LLC.

Kiana credits her family as the driving force for entering and winning the 2023 Miss Independent Challenge and 2023 Miss Blind Diva Pageant, making history as the first contestant to win both titles since the organization’s inception. Kiana has traded in her pageant crown for a 2025 Team USA baseball hat as she was voted team co-captain, leading her team to place fifth in the world for Blind Baseball (United Kingdom September 2024). She is being featured in a full-length documentary following the Blind Baseball journey during international competition. Most notably, Kiana is the proud mother of one exceptional child, student athlete Miss Kali J. Vion, earning Kiana the “Coolest Blind Mom” title 9 years undefeated and counting.
