Accessible Note-taking and Access to Media Content: Victor Reader Stream 3

Note-taking keeps us organized at school, work, and in daily life. Whether recording a to-do list, meeting, or class lecture, organizing tools support our productivity. Devices, such as the Victor Reader Stream, are an important tool used by many people who are blind or visually impaired. This portable wireless device also gives access to any audio media content such as books, podcasts, and music. We will review the Victor Reader Stream 3 device, its functionality and use by a user of the technology as well as other note-taking platforms.
- Learn about the Victor Reader Stream 3 capabilities and how it can be used for school, work, and daily life activities.
- Demonstration of how to access online media content for newspapers, podcasts, and music, as well as the range of options for organizing and listening to audiobooks.
- Discover other options such as the smartphone app Tape-It and other methods to support productivity and access to media.
About the Moderators
Bryan Wolynski, OD, FAAO is an Optometrist and serves as the Chief Technology Officer at Lighthouse Guild. He oversees technology resources and initiatives for the organization, including the Lighthouse Guild Technology Center, and develops strategies to bring the latest technological advancements to people who are blind or visually impaired.
Shanell Matos is a technology assistant for the Lighthouse Guild Technology Center, leveraging her expertise, education, and passion for assistive technology from her first-hand experience with vision loss. Her exceptional skills with technology and ambition have assisted with her goals and access to the things she enjoys.
