Join us as we discuss the topic of summer reading! Nancy Doyle, TVI, will provide information about how parents can help their child maintain academic skills and enjoy the experience of reading books. Many children lose academic and reading skills during summer breaks. This talk will discuss how parents can help their child maintain those skills and learn to love books and reading. A suggested book list will be provided, as well as instructions for making experience books and story boxes for children with visual impairments.
About the Speaker
Nancy Doyle has over 17 years of experience as a New York State certified Teacher of the Visually Impaired teaching children with visual impairment and other disabilities in a preschool setting. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts and Illustration from Pratt Institute and a Master of Science in Early Childhood Education from Hunter College.
