*Para-transit riders can enter at 33 Central Park West, NY, NY 10023 on the corner of West 63rd Street for pick up and drop off.
Lighthouse Guild and the U.S. Blind Baseball Association (USBBA) are teaming up for our second public Blind Baseball Clinic in Central Park. Whether you are fully blind, visually impaired, or sighted, we encourage everyone to join us and experience this rapidly growing adaptive sport.
Guests will have an opportunity to:
- Watch a demonstration by USBBA players
- Participate in a skills clinic covering batting, running, throwing, and fielding
- Play in a real scrimmage
Schedule
- 8:30 – 9 am: Check-in
- 9:05 am: Introduction
- 9:15 – 10:45 am: Immersive Skill Training
- 11 am: Dr. Calvin Roberts, President & CEO of Lighthouse Guild, will announce the players who have been selected to represent Team USA in the 2024 Blind Baseball International Cup in London!
- 11:15 – 12 pm: Scrimmage with USBBA players and guests
- 12 pm: Clinic ends
